You see me and you wish to hide
You sense the monster that's inside
You poorly judge me based on sight
I haven't told you, but you're right

You only fear what you can see
I haunt you in your memory
If only I could, I'd also hide
From me, the monster that's inside

Now I lay me down to sleep
Pray the Lord my soul to reap
If only I die before I wake
Pray the Lord my soul to break.

Like I've said before, I was one messed up teenager.

Really nice piece, I love the choice of words. And I couldn't help but see that comment you made, and is it true that you were diagnosed with BPD?

If so that really sucks, but I'm sure you're strong enough to live through it :P (And I'm assuming it's Borderline Personality Disorder, and not Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia). However, it doesn't seem fair that people should have to go through things like that, I searched it up to get a better background on what it causes and it seems pretty intense sometimes, so I wish you the best in fighting it :)

That also explains how you can put so much emotion into your work, you see, I'm just an average teenager, sure I overthink things, but that's nothing compared to contracting BPD. All in all, this is a great poem, and I'd request that you never stop writing :)
